 The fresh proposals for a new name are brilliant, a middle ground for the years ahead.  "Newspaper and Online News Division" reflects reality and the new ways in which traditional media are delivering news.  It is inclusive and doesn't separate out online news unnecessarily.  It doesn't further fragment AEJMC with another division.  It's a straightforward description of what journalism departments are all about these days, in one form or another.  It's a compromise that merits support from dinosaurs and (ahem) ducklings alike.
