[AEJMC Newspaper Division list] FW: You're invited to Dart Reception

Not to make fun of the name because one of our own here at the Fort
Worth Star-Telegram (Lois Norder, ME/I) won the Mimi from them this
year, and I know the Dart Center specializes in journalism on violence
and health issues ....  but I think "Journalism & Trauma" is a perfect
pairing of terms nowadays.  Perhaps the perfect new name for the
Newspaper Division.  Just a thought.

The Dart Center for Journalism and Trauma invites you a dessert and wine
reception on Thursday, Aug. 7 from 8:30 to 10 p.m. at the Chicago
Marriott Downtown, in Ballroom C.

Dart is hosting this event at the AEJMC summer convention as part of its
commitment to serving scholars and educators with research on the many
ways in which journalists deal with trauma, tragedy and violence, and
helping educators prepare the next generation of journalists to
understand how trauma affects victims, audiences and news workers.
