AEJMC Newspaper & Online News Division
The organization: The former Newspaper Division of the Association for Education in Journalism & Mass Communication added “and Online News” to its name, effective Oct. 1, 2011. See division head John Carvalho’s announcement of the renaming vote.
The division publishes the Newspaper Research Journal (http://www.newspaperresearchjournal.org), this blog-style website, the archival site at http://aejmc.net/newspaper and the electronic newsletter, Leadtime.

AEJMC is made up of 17 Divisions, 10 Interest Groups, and various Standing Committees and Commissions. The organization’s division overview page describes the Division like this:
The Newspaper and Online News Division (formerly named the Newspaper Division) examines key concerns facing journalism education, the newspaper industry and society; topics include ethics, new technology, readership, minority recruitment and the media’s role in society. Publishes Newspaper Research Journal and a newsletter.
This website was added in 2009 to the former home page of the Newspaper Division, aejmc.net/newspaper, which continues as an archive of past years’ sites, convention memorabilia, lists of officers, links to related events and links to the divisions email discussion list and Newspaper Research Journal. The Web editor’s previous blog is available in archive form.
