The purpose of the Mass Communication and Society’s Teaching Standards Committee is to improve media education for instructors and students.

The Committee organizes and sponsors teaching competitions, workshops and conference panels. Our mission this year is to continue with popular programs such as the Promising Professors competition while encouraging more scholarly work on teaching and learning in journalism and mass communication education.

Whether your area of expertise is advertising, public relations, mass communication theory or journalism, you are more than welcome to participate in any of our programs or competitions. We are an inclusive division, and encourage entries, input and ideas from all AEJMC disciplines that advance the development of good teaching.
