The Mass Communication and Society Division (MC&S) welcomes new and not so new members for joining us to explore research and teaching in areas spanning from traditional disciplines, such as advertising, public relations and news media to newer, convergent areas of study, such as social media, information and communication technology. We encourage a variety of methodological approaches to the study of media and its many societal influences.
As one of the largest and most active of the AEJMC divisions, MC&S showcases faculty and graduate student research and teaching, offering competitive research awards for faculty and graduate students, and showcasing best practices by top teachers in the field. The division also publishes Mass Communication & Society, one of the top peer-reviewed research journals in communication area. As a MC&S member, you have free subscription to this highly-rated journal published by Taylor and Francis Group.
