will hold its 2006 Summer Meeting in San Francisco, California August
2-5 at the Marriott San Francisco.
AEJMC now offers several options for submitting papers. Please see the

The Internships and Careers Interest Group is now organizing sessions
and seeking papers. Please contact the appropriate chair for more
information and return to this site for updates.
AEJMC held its 2005 Summer Meeting in San Antonio, Texas at the
Marriott Rivercenter August 10 to 13. The Internships and
Careers Interest Group held one, August 9, pre-conference session asking
if professional education programs will cannibalize traditional graduate
programs and asking what public relations students should know about
business. These are the five general conference sessions sponsored by
ICIG:
- Take 'Em Away, Send 'Em Away, Bring 'Em In: How to effectively Use
Study Abroad in Journalism & Mass Communication Programs.
- Unpaid internships: Favoring the privileged?
- Beyond Busy Work: Fresh Ideas for Building Better Internships.
- Out of the Fire and Into the Frying Pan: Are we preparing journalism
students for the real world?
- Getting Students Hired: Constructing Ideal Candidates for Journalism
