Special Call: Research Addressing
the State of Graduate Education in Journalism
& Mass Communication
As part of the larger self-evaluation process being undertaken by
AEJMC in
recognition of its 100th anniversary, GEIG is holding an
additional special call
for scholarly work addressing the state of graduate education in
journalism and
mass communication. This research will be presented at a separate
panel during
the convention and may focus on present-day graduate education or
examine the
discipline from an historical perspective. Due to the unique
nature of this
call, papers may be authored or co-authored by graduate students,
faculty,
and/or outside professionals and may be submitted in a number of
styles,
including essays, commentaries, and first-person accounts. In
addition, research
that has been previously presented, but not published, may be
considered.
Please contact GEIG head Dan Reimold (dr716305@ohio.edu) with any
questions
related to this one-time-only call.
*A specific point worth
highlighting: Graduate students AND faculty/outside
professionals are invited to present submissions for this
one-time-only panel.
