Other facts about CIVIC-J:
It is a public list. This means anybody can subscribe; you don’t have to be a member of the Civic Journalism Interest Group or of AEJMC.
It is a closed list. This means that only subscribers can post messages to the list.
The list is unmoderated. No one screens your postings.
Listserv messages have a “reply to list” default. If you reply to a posting, it will go to subscribers. If you want to reply only to the person who sent the posting, remember to change the “To:” line in your message.
The “owner” of CIVIC-J is Jeff South, an associate professor in the VCU School of Mass Communications and the Webmaster for the Civic Journalism Interest Group.
